Modo VR has moved the Modo Viewport from the monitor and into VR headsets, with the Foundry’s Beta software placing creations into real life scale and perspective.

Built on the Modo Advanced Viewport technology, Modo VR is the work of the Foundry Research division, and although the software is not targeted to a specific release of Modo, expect to see it in the future once Foundry has gathered enough user feedback.

The tools at present allow first person manipulation of layout, annotations, playback, and review directly in Modo in VR, while reducing the time needed to switch applications - improving the overall immersion and connection the user has with an object.

Those interested can try it out in Beta here.
