Continuing the collection of talks from our live event, DEVELOP3D LIVE, today we bring you the inspirational talk from Autodesk CEO Carl Bass.

Join Bass as he discusses new means of cloud-based design and engineering, and how to pair them with the manufacturing advances that are now within reach of even the smallest companies.

About the speaker

Carl Bass is president and chief executive officer of Autodesk, a leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software.

Previously he held several executive positions at Autodesk, including CTO and COO.

Bass co-founded Ithaca Software, which was acquired by Autodesk in 1993. He serves on the Board of Directors of Autodesk, E2open, the Art Center College of Design, and the Rocky Mountain Institute.

He is also a member of the Executive Advisory Boards of Cornell Computing and Information Science and the UC Berkeley School of Information. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Cornell University.

Wolf's law... translation - Living things perform best when under the proper amount of stress. Devon - Generative design is their name, but others are doing it and have been doing it for some time. The cloud will allow the masses access to it's capability at a low cost. http://www.develop3d.com/reviews/solidthinking-inspire-9.0 There are others, too. Crazy stuff is coming when this get's paired with faster 3D printing (come on HP).
