GE Additive opens latest European facility for production 3D Printing

A 40,000sqm ultra-modern facility in Lichtenfels, Germany forms the latest part of GE’s continued investment in Lean Manufacturing sites, adapting to growing customer demand for its technology and the shift to serial production.

The site will become the new home for GE Additive’s Concept Laser teams where it will crack on with implementing its outlook for Industry 4.0 in Upper Franconia.

Bavarian Minister of Sciences Bernd Sibler popped along to the opening and remarked: “In Bavaria, global players find exceptional conditions for successful and future-forward investments to take to the world.
