AMFG, a provider of workflow automation software for Additive Manufacturing (AM), has announced a strategic partnership with LEO Lane to offer file security and IP protection solutions for the AM industry.

The move will see both companies integrate their software solutions to offer customers a secure solution for end-to-end AM workflow management, including virtual inventories and on-demand production.

“Security and IP protection are two of the main considerations for additive manufacturing today,” said Felix Doerr, AMFG’s head of business development. “Customers want to be sure that all files and data are secure as they go about managing their AM operations.
“LEO Lane brings a wealth of experience, credibility and forward-thinking to AM security, and our partnership further enhances AMFG’s holistic approach to managing additive manufacturing workflows.”

Lee-Bath Nelson, LEO Lane co-founder and VP business, added: “Securely automating the workflow is a must for serial production with AM. Companies, such as our joint customer with AMFG, need an end-to-end solution to manage their AM process efficiently and securely. The combination of AMFG and LEO Lane provides just such a solution.”

AMFG’s AM tools have recently been installed by UK 3D printing bureau Malcolm Nicholls Limited, allowing it to field online quotations to the benefit of customers.
